Advanced Open Water Course

Advanced Course Scuba Nation Cambodia1Broaden your experience, increase your confidence and take your diving to new levels of excitement. Learn more advanced techniques in a variety of diving environments with Scuba Nation PADI 5 Star Instructor Development Centre. With a minimum age of 12, this is a challenging and exciting course for any diver. You can elect to do the dives on an overnight 2-day / 1-night liveaboard trip or 2 day trips.

With a minimum amount of time spent on study, this is a get wet and wild experience. The Advanced course is made up of 5 short knowledge reviews plus 5 adventure dives; you will do a Deep dive to maximum 30 m. and learn new underwater Navigational skills. You can also choose any 3 from the following elective dives:

  • Night (unlike anything else & recommended if you’ve never tried it)
  • Peak Performance Buoyancy (great for fine-tuning buoyancy)
  • Underwater Naturalist (start to identify what you see)
  • U/W Photography (capture what you see on film)
  • Digital Photography (relive your memories when home)
  • Multi-level (learn about computers and work with the wheel)
  • AWARE Fish ID (start to identify which fish is which)
  • Boat (learn about diving from a boat )
  • Drift (go with the flow )

If you are planning to take your PADI Open Water Course or Advanced Open Water Course with Scuba Nation, we recommend staying in or around M’Pay Bay, Koh Rong Sanloem. Recommended accommodations include M’Pay Bay Hotel, Cliff Hostel, Ing Ing Guesthouse, Beach House Cambodia, Bong’s Guesthouse, and Thmor Da Resort, among others.

For students who do not require air conditioning, we can also provide complimentary accommodation in a private bungalow during your course. Staying in M’Pay Bay makes it easy and convenient to visit our dive center each day and complete your training without the need for additional transportation.

Complete Your PADI eLearning in Advance

We can register your PADI eLearning in advance so you can complete the theory portion and final exam online before arriving at our dive center.

To register, we only need:

* Full name
* Date of birth
* Email address

Once you have completed the online theory and final exam, you can come to our dive center in M’Pay Bay, Koh Rong Sanloem to continue the practical training and complete your certification.

Pre-requisites

  • Certified as an PADI Open Water Diver (or equivalent from another recognised training agency) 
  • Be aged 12 years or over

What you get

On the boat

  • Overnight stay or day trips, 5 dives plus all the snorkelling you can handle

Price

  • Due to a course revision, PADI require that you have a timing device. If you have a watch that’s fine but we also have computers for rent. Normal rental is US$10 per day but in combination with this course we discount to US$5 per day.
  • Advancing your PADI diving skills is a learning experience you aren’t quick to forget. Doing it in Cambodia will ensure you have an amazing dive without giving up any measure of safety, professionalism, quality of instruction or diving locations.
